I see there have been one or two questions similar asked but...Do you believe life gives us signs? Either signs for something that might happen in the future or signs that we should do something? It's hard to give an exact example...but somehow I do believe that sometimes there are signs around us if we just take the time to look for them. What do you think?

Where is the irony and what is the analysis of this poem?

Your average tourist: Fiftly. 2.3
Times married. Dressed, this year, in Ferdi Planthower
Originals. Odds 1 to 9
Against her strolling past the Embassy.

Today at noon. Your average terroist:
Twenty-five. Celibate. No use for trends,
At least in clothing. Mark, though, where it ends.
People have come forth made of colored mist.

Unsmiling on one hundred million screens
To tell of his promp phone call to the station,
"Claiming responsibility" - devestation
Signed with a flourish, like the dead wife's jeans.

I`m doing an essay on the Salem Witch Trials and I was wondering if anyone knew about the environment in Salem. What it was like to live in that time and place and also the physical challenges that they faced. If anyone can help me, that you be appreciated. Thank you.

I was at a library recently waiting for my son,and 2 young ladies next to me were chatting quietly.I was thinking all day about someone very special to me who had died as a child.I heard one of the 'chatters' say to the other,'I can't believe that I will turn 19 in 4 months and 6 days.'I calculated her birthday--July 7,1988...the SAME exact birthday of my loved one, even the same year.
It blew me away.
Coincidence??What??

We are living in a democracy now some would argue but my point is , why does Socrates think a democracy is the wrong way to go to find the Ideal State as he put it? He knew that there would be corruption and demoralization if society turned in this particular direction how did he know and we didn't?

For instance...
We recognize a day only because the earth is spinning.
We recognize a year only because the earth revolves around the sun.
We have a word called time because we have to wait for something to get from point A to point B which is really speed and distance.
If there was an eternity past in time how could it be that we could have ever gotten here in time.
