History tells us that Lee Harvey Oswald was the person who shot JFK.
However, I find it odd that such great pains were taken to form a "task force" to find the truth, and yet nothing was ever concluded. Also, the documents pertaining to the investigation were sealed for 50 years...that means that until 2013-2014 the world will not know the truth of the findings. It has been said that this will allow the people from that political era to have lived, and passed beyond accountability.
Conspiracy theorists have always held that it was a conspiracy. The CIA and the FBI, among others, have been under scrutiny from them since the beginning.
My personal opinion is that someone other than Oswald shot him. Below are two excellent sites with much information on them. You must form your own opinion.....as we all must do.

Lee Harvey Oswald killed JFK, but we'll never know as to why he was assassinated.

The assassination did spark numerous conspiracy theories. Other people believed that he was killed by the Mafia or the CIA. The big conspiracy right now is that there might have been more than shooter. JFK was shot three time and the trajectory points are directed at different angles.

Lee Harvey Oswald fired the shot that killed JFK. As to whether there was a conspiracy, I personally don't believe there was. But, lots of folks have a differing opinion:

Lee Harvey Oswald was the man that was convicted of killing Kennedy, but he was shot and killed by Jack Ruby, a ex-mobster/proprietor of a few shady businesses.

There might've been a conspiracy. It could've involved the CIA or the FBI. It probably didn't. It could've been the mob and Castro down in Cuba. If there was one, that's more likely. But no one's come up with definitive proof, and no one's telling about it, so I usually put it to bed as Oswald's doing.

I believe it was Lee Harvey Oswald and if there was a conspiracy it has been kept well under raps and with most of the leading participants already dead it will next to impossible to prove if there was a conspiracy.
