The book is Tales of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle. It was published in 1906. It is a first edition hard back and is in fair shape for being over 100 years old. I'm thinking of selling it and am wondering how to go about finding out its value, where to sell it, etc. Anyone with any ideas or help here?

'Bullfighting in Spain is just kept up for the tourists.'
'Pope Leo X said that Christianity was a useful superstition for popes.'
'The Nazis made lampshades out of human skin.'

All of these are often repeated, and all are untrue. Even that famous picture of a slave ship 'improved on' the truth - in reality there were gangways there.
Why isn't having a good cause enough for people?
