Should I use window's movie maker to edit? I pretty much need to know everything!!!

I was adopted in 1984 from colombia south america i want to find my birth parents but i believe i was adopted from an orphanage all i know is the word marie or maria is in the orphange name. I need tto find them.

I remember seeing a children's book maybe about 10 or 12 years ago, in a local bookstore in Colorado Springs, about a piece of fabric that was made into one garment, and when that wore out it was made into a smaller garment, and so forth, until it was gone. Also, the bottom of each of the pages in the book had a similar theme, with a mouse taking scraps of the fabric and using it. It was really cute, and I regret not buying it at the time, but now I'd like to find it. It may have had something to do with a Jewish theme, but it may also not have. It was a thin hard cover book, maybe blue in color. Wonder if anyone knows the title of the book I'm looking for, or the name of the author. Thanks for your help.
