Sorry, we don't get out of here till the last amoeba attains enlightenment.

Judging from the answers some of the so-called chosen people are giving this could take quite a while.

Contrary to popular belief God is not going to let us quit till everyone figures out the way to get back home.

The fantasy about hell is just a lie about God that was made up to give a few holier than thows someone to feel better than. God loves us too much to let a single soul become lost.

Love and blessings Don

One thing is sure : the world -if by "the world you mean Earth- will end. When, that is the question, but here is an answer:
The absolute limit is when the Sun will die. No life without a Sun is possible. That will happen in a few billion years.
However, before dying i.e. before becoming a White Dwarf the Sun will become very large and hot as a Red Giant, and everything will boil on Earth including the mountains. The seas will then be gone for long. And that will happen a bit "earlier" but still very far away.
And forget ALL religious beliefs, they are just pure speculations.
The other question: it is highly improbable, but not completely impossible, that another form of life develops somewhere else (or has developed yet). But there is no "when" and no "how" to this: nobody knows.

in about another 5-7 billion years when the sun shrinks into a white dwarf. Then the earth will shrivel up and die. But we as a species will have disappeared long before then. The average lifespan for a complex species such as ourselves is about 4 million years - about where we are now. We are on our way out, with or without climate change.

No more life here after that, unless the whole universe dies and is then 'reborn' through another big bang. Some astronomers speculate that the universe is continually being recycled but no one knows.

OK, there are various scenarios about it ending.

1) Thermodynamics 2nd Law of the Conservation of Energy states: Energy can neither be created nor destroyed. As processes operate at a loss of efficiency, which have HEAT given off as their loss,(which cannot be reused efficiently, ad infinitum) resulting in the concept of Entropy. The universe will ultimately suffer a low level (balanced equilibrium) heat death.

2) The planets have already ALIGNED in our recent past, and people who were expecting that alignment to create and OUT OF BALANCE condition were surprised to discover it did not.

3) The religious community usually has some overzealous leader who attempts to piece meal together Bishop Ussher's chronology in the Bible and "calculate" by end time events the Day when Jesus returns. But the scriptures teach NO MAN knows the Day or the HOUR. (See the failure of the "Millerites")

4) II Peter 3. 10 DOES describe the actual ending of the EARTH as we know it. But not the TIME! Curiously, it seems to describe what could be construed as a NUCLEAR DISASTER!

5) According to modern physics, the sun in our solar system, being similar to all other suns, is made up of gases, predominently Hydrogen, and will eventually burn out, leaving 8 hours of heat and light to travel 93,000,000 miles to us before we freeze to death. Whatever remains after that, no one will live to tell.

We are safe for now. The world will not becoming to an end anytime soon. My careful calculations show that the sun will explode about 6:37 AM est on Saturday 24, January in the year 2,000,000,007, give or take a couple of nano seconds.

I could be off a bit!

Subjectively, every time you suffer a great disappointment, the entire world ends, but when you experience a revelation, or inspiration, a raise or when your plant makes flowers (you`ll know better), than a new world is born.
Objectively speaking, when the sun dies, or when a crazy group of people blows everything off or something like that are (more likely ) when there aren`t no more planets with carbon and hydrogen!
So people being inventive , we will last a loong time and I wouldn't be surprised if instead of leaving the sun "die" we will keep it burning more than it was supposed to! I am optimistic.

The world will end at some time in the future, There is no way we can find out exactly

As it is something we can not calculate there is no point in trying. People have claimed that they can see into the future but as we grow wiser and less gullible prophets have become a little thin on the ground.

Somebody will find out one day 'It could be you'.

Don't think the world will end. Do believe however that life as we know it will no longer exist at some time in the future.

Then a whole new life form will come into being.

i think it is still a mystery and will always remain so. but for the time being i will tell you that the world will end when you die. end of life is the end of this world because death is the only way that can reach us to the other world and still the other is a mystery because we never lived there and nobody can come back to tell how it is
