Hey James,

Here is a blurb from Swyrich.com on the origin, but not on the meaning:
Origin: English

Spelling variations of this family name include: Tresaster, Treseder, Tresidder, Tressider and others.

First found in Cornwall where they were anciently seated as Lords of the Manor of Bodmin, Cornwall was a land set apart, a land of mystique and quaint customs, more strongly related to Brittany and Wales than to England.

Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: Elizabeth McKay Treseder and Richard Doughty Treseder who both wnet to Utah in the year 1855. Thomas Tresidder went to Philadelphia in 1879.

The first response is probably correct on the meaning.
