I'm looking to incorperate some color into the a few of the drawnings I am working on and I need a good brand, though not horribly expensive, in a set of 24 to 48. I've heard prismacolor is good, but I've also heard that they've been bought out recently and the quality has dropped a bit. Is this true, or are they still a good brand to get?

I posted some prints for sale of some of my paintings on etsy.com, but I've been getting requests from people who want the real thing. How much should I charge for an oil painting (let's say 18"x 18"x 1")? I don't want to go too high -- but I definitely don't want to go too low. what about acrylic or mixed media?? thanks ;-)

I would really appreciate a second opinion on this paper, it is only 2.5 pages, not a long read.

Cheers!

I just received some information regarding an audition I'm attending for an Acting program I've applied to at College. In it reads: "Do memorize thoroughly and act two contrasting (serious-funny) speeches from a contemporary play, screen play or teleplay." What are the differences between a speech from a contemporary play, screen play and teleplay? Is that a speech from a contemporary play is just that, and a screen play refers to a script for a motion picture and a teleplay is a script for a television show?

Furthermore I read that a "screenplay differs from a script in that it is more specifically targeted at the visual, narrative arts, such as film and television, whereas a script can involve a blueprint of "what happens" in a comic, an advertisement, a theatrical play and other "blueprinted" creations." Can someone please explain that to me (dumb it down *G*)? Thanks.

I asked a question a little while ago about what should be done about the small of mind and I received many interesting answers. Many of the answers where saying that a superior intellect would be able to recognise the inferior and steer clear of them, leaving them to wallow (if that is the right word) in their ways. This would allow the superior intellect to remain unblemished and morally superior.

This however leaves me with 3 questions:

1. What is the superior intellect and why?

2. Should it not be the duty of those who have the intelligence and the knowledge disseminate it through out the world, helping the lower of intellects to rise up (by force if need be)? And

3. If the superior intellect has the will and the ability to remove or restrict the lower intellect (once it has been established that the lower intellect is remaining so by choice) why then should the superior intellect be restrained by the pasivity and non-violence of others?

Please explain your answers

I'm in the middle of a debate about the codes that people may have stitched into quilts to aid slaves escaping to freedom along the underground railroad. I have half a dozen reputable web sites that say such codes are a myth. Can any of you give me a credible web site ( with an .edu domain, if possible) that SUPPORTS the story?

Note I don't need your opinions, unless you've published your findings - I need links. Thank you.

PS I knew nothing about the subject two weeks ago. I stumbled into it by accident. It turns out debates about Underground Railroad codes are to the Quilting world what Chain Link Death Matches are to Professional Wrestlers.

My grandmother had one. It was like a hutch, but had compartments to store flour and things like that. It had a pullout medal table she use to roll dough out on. It was all white medal with red trim. It had a certain name.
