I asked a question a little while ago about what should be done about the small of mind and I received many interesting answers. Many of the answers where saying that a superior intellect would be able to recognise the inferior and steer clear of them, leaving them to wallow (if that is the right word) in their ways. This would allow the superior intellect to remain unblemished and morally superior.

This however leaves me with 3 questions:

1. What is the superior intellect and why?

2. Should it not be the duty of those who have the intelligence and the knowledge disseminate it through out the world, helping the lower of intellects to rise up (by force if need be)? And

3. If the superior intellect has the will and the ability to remove or restrict the lower intellect (once it has been established that the lower intellect is remaining so by choice) why then should the superior intellect be restrained by the pasivity and non-violence of others?

Please explain your answers

I find it facinating to see how many would choose to attack, (possibly without thinking first) then to answer the question. This indicates a fear and a sense of a threat, for waht reason I don't know.

1. Superior intellect is the knowledge that the world is much bigger than yourself and that to know anything, you must admit you know nothing compared to the vast assortment of knowledge that the world holds.

2. Secondly, it may be nice to think that those of superior intellect should "pull up" the weak out of their wallowing, but all of human history (and animal history) show that it is natural for separation to occur.

3. The superior are trapped in inactivity because although those of lower intellect may seem to be that way by choice, they are not. So the superior must respect the principles they've established for themselves, and apply them to all people. Therefore, the superior must consciously recognize their differences, but treat themselves no better than they treat their counterparts.

A person with truly strong intellect would realize that it does not need to control "weaker" intellects to prove itself superior. A truly strong intellect would also realize that calling itself superior, does not make it so. A truly strong intellect is one free of ignorance toward anything. From the lowliest slug- to the most controlling tyrant. A person with truly strong and superior intellect would learn about all things, and in doing so, cultivate a respect for all things, that would eliminate the need for feelings of superiority- and realize that everything and creature, no matter how insignificant it may seem, has it's own place and purpose. Stop trying to use your mind to control that which you don't agree with, or can't understand.

The whole scenario seems flawed to me because I don't believe a person with a superior intellect is necessarily benevolent and morally superior.

1. Superior intellect an excuse for someone who can do math problems well to feel superior to everyone else.
2. Those with intelligence and knowledge can do whatever they darn well please with it. If someone is dumb, you could try to educate them but there is not any sort of dictated responsibility for one to do so.
3. Because this would make you a fascist and fascists are dumb, thus you'd become part of the lower intellect class (being a dumb fascist) and have to remove yourself from your utopia of smart people.

There's different kinds of intellect. Very few people are intellectually superior in every way. The only truly dangerous people are the ones like you. Those who are stupid and don't realize it.

For two: Why would we want the lower of intellects to rise up? This is already happening and it is an incredibly ineffective system.

You misunderstand.
There is only a limited supply of knowledge in this world and the rich get richer.
