I read it in 3rd or 4th grade. I think it was like a mystery type book. I remember a few of the characters. One was a kid, kinda smart and geeky. He would always be picked on by an older kid. But the geeky kid had a female friend that kinda protected him from the bully (don't remember how). Those were the three main characters.

Well, the smart kid was sort of like an investigator and they would find these clues to solve the problem. I remember one case was where these kids cheated in a blueberry pie eating contest or something like that. If i remember correctly, there were several cases in a book.

Any idea?

I've always been picky with the anime shows I watch and one of them has been: the artwork of the characters have to be good. I don't know why, I guess it's because it attracts me to anime and so far the animes/manga I watched or read that had good art work in them were pretty interesting and good shows/mangas.

The ones I've watched are:

Gundam Seed
Blood+
Host Club
Vampire Knight
Love Celeb
Deathnote
Samurai Champloo
Wolf's Rain

If you have any suggestions, please list them! Thanks for your time.

Its a common observation. When a brain is getting restless maybe due to some traumatic condition. Who is going to help it relax. The brain itself or someone with in you? Is it brain itself? I doubt it. Lets assume that someone suggested to your brain that do some meditation but WHO is accepting the suggestion. It it brain again? Isn't there an actor involved at all? Who is deciding what is good or bad for him? Then why does the response vary from individual. Is it the genes (I am not good at genes and not sure if genes really help in this case) that help him make this decision that letting it go is going to help him. Assuming genes helped, how did this genes even develop that ability in the first place the understanding that letting it go is going to get me out of this trauma? Is it possible that spiritual healers' suggestions have helped us come out of that or is it that our brains have that inbuilt? Isn't there an actor that has some intellect?

I have been thinking about this a lot recently because I always pictured my life to be different then it turned out and I always believed that if I worked hard that everything would work out for me but it is obviously not so.

I was comfortable knowing what was going to happen but as everyone knows we never know what tomorrow will bring and Im not sure if I like that.

So do you like and welcome the uncertainty that is your life or are you afraid of what tomorrow will bring?

For an article in an automobile history journal, a friend is doing some research into the life of a prominent businessman (now deceased) from Honolulu.

The "official" historical sources, like the state history society and the Chamber of Commerce, don't have much information on him. Anybody have any links for amateur historians familiar with the business and automotive history of Hawaii, specifically Honolulu?
