coming from a Musical Theatre buff.......

Old Playbills are ALWAYS really cool to get
Posters of shows
Cast Recordings (though make sure she doesn't already have them!)
There's some GREAT video recordings of shows too. I'm personally a huge fan of the "Into the Woods" video, and there's also the "Broadway's Lost Treasures" series that is incredible.
SHOW SHIRTS. They're amazing.

there's also a book out there that I own called "At This Theatre" that the Playbill Club put out. It has the theatrical history of all the broadway theatres, which is SUPER awesome.

Even just little things, like a charm with drama faces, or tickets to a local high school production. Theatre people appreciate ANYTHING that could POSSIBLY pretain to theatre.

Going to resale shops and looking at their collections of old books, you might find old copies of books and plays that aren't necessarily valuable ( though some might be) but make great gifts for the theatre lover, also look online for old playbills (or newer ones) and posters from shows that she loves. Memorabilia makes great art and can sometimes be a wonderful collector's item. Also, you can find copies of movies based on plays, a wonderful movie if she likes Shakespeare is based on The Tempest ( my personal favorite) and is a Peter Greeneway (spelling?) film called Prospero's Books-- it is a visual wonder and presents the story in a lovely fashion that is true to the original work. Good luck!

Showtunes. But don't get the remakes that have random people singing "the hits of broadway". Get an original or broadway cast recording. You could also go on ebay and maybe and get an autographed photo of a broadway actor or actress he or she may really like.
