I've always been picky with the anime shows I watch and one of them has been: the artwork of the characters have to be good. I don't know why, I guess it's because it attracts me to anime and so far the animes/manga I watched or read that had good art work in them were pretty interesting and good shows/mangas.

The ones I've watched are:

Gundam Seed
Blood+
Host Club
Vampire Knight
Love Celeb
Deathnote
Samurai Champloo
Wolf's Rain

If you have any suggestions, please list them! Thanks for your time.

You should try these too:
Trinity Blood (the manga is better looking than the anime)
Fafner
Senkaiden Houshin Engi
Gensoumaden Saiyuki

I actually have more to add but I don't have that much time to recall everything. I hope you liked them.

*We are almost the same. I am a fan of several of the titles you mentioned above like G. Seed, Wolf's Rain and Blood+.

The best art I've ever seen in a manga was Akira. If you haven't seen the movie, you should do that as well. There is a level of detail that i've never seen in the cityscapes and attetion to character that aren't even touched by most. As for animation, Ghost in the shell is excellent (both the movies and the show), but I recently re-read the manga and found it lacking.

Akira is now sold in 6 volumes (roughly 2000 pages total), and it can be pricy. Look through it first though, and you'll be hooked. It is often considered the holy grail of anime.

P.S. despite you do do no longer hint characters, you will study lots greater advantageous in case you look on the photograph and then draw.
