According to IMDB.com Hannah Montana and Life of Zack are filmed in LA so you would need to be in the area to even think about it.

The truth is you have to be represented by an agent as well.
This is a good book to get you going!

NEVER GIVE UP ! ! !

Good luck! Let me know how it goes!

ps I just found some more info on the Disney Channel website:

Q: How do I audition to be on one of your shows?

A: As with any career, education and practice are important. A good first step would be to discuss your interests with a school counselor or drama teacher, if you are still in school.
We suggest you familiarize yourself with any local theatre group in your area, and read the entertainment industry trade papers, which are available at most libraries. In these you will find advertisements for upcoming auditions.

Also, The Walt Disney Company employs thousands of performers for the various Theme Parks and Resorts. Auditions are held regularly to cast singers, dancers, actors, DJs and VJs, musicians, and bands.

For information on these exciting opportunities, please visit our Disney Careers site, at:

http://www.disneycareers.com

Then, click on "Events and Auditions."

When you feel ready to do so, you might consider finding an agent. Their job is to locate work suitable for you. As most film and television organizations require agency representation, having an agent is almost essential for getting paid work.

Please understand that we cannot recommend a particular agent or talent agency. For information on how to find an agent in your area, please consult your local entertainment trade papers or the career and entertainment sections of your local library.

We hope these suggestions are helpful to you. We admire your enthusiasm, and wish you much success.

ps Agents usally charge betwee 10% and 15%

I'll post this yet again:

"The Disney Channel" doesn't have auditions. It's not a junior high play. The shows on the Disney Channel have casting people who send out what are called "breakdowns" to registered agents. These are lists of roles that are being cast and the types of actors that are needed. The agents then comb through their clients to see if any of them meet those criteria. If they do, those actors (or the video reels of their previous work) are sent out to read for particular parts. The network doesn't just hold an open audition and hope that people will show up.

You're not going to get seen by anyone at any of the production companies just by contacting them and telling them how much you like their shows. You need to have a legitimate agent who will send you out for jobs, and even then the odds are slim of A) even getting an agent in the first place, B) getting sent out for something, and C) getting sent out for a show on the Disney Channel.

Yes, having an agent helps a lot, but there are still open calls for child actors that you can find if you do some research.

But, really, I would discourage you from trying to become a child star. It doesnt usually work out well. Overstress, drug addictions, sleazy people who get you to sign contracts that are NOT in your best interest. I would say wait till you are older to act.

Sorry, Im not trying to be patronizing, I just dont think life is that great for child actors.

Not to mention that most kids who get cast in those kind of shows are related to someone with a lot of influence.

You can not just go to a Disney audition you have to have an agent. You also have to have some experience. Start off with little things like commercials and extras so when you make your resume you can show them you have experience in acting. Check out this site I posted. I went through this company a while ago and I was really satisfied. It has acting auditions and modeling to. Never give up on your dream, just make sure that you are willing to work for it. It is not easy but trust me when you make it big it will be worth it. Hope this helped.
