I've searched everywhere and I don't know what an alliteration is exactly. I need to find alliterations in this poem:

TO THE VIRGINS, TO MAKE MUCH OF TIME.
by Robert Herrick

GATHER ye rosebuds while ye may,
Old time is still a-flying :
And this same flower that smiles to-day
To-morrow will be dying.

The glorious lamp of heaven, the sun,
The higher he's a-getting,
The sooner will his race be run,
And nearer he's to setting.

That age is best which is the first,
When youth and blood are warmer ;
But being spent, the worse, and worst
Times still succeed the former.

Then be not coy, but use your time,
And while ye may go marry :
For having lost but once your prime
You may for ever tarry.

But I'm not sure which ones are or which ones aren't please help me!

Sometimes I have such anxiety like I don't even want to bring kids into the world because of all the hurt, hatred and disease there is. People drive like animals and there is no common courtsey in public places anymore. Am I just seeing the world differently, or has it really changed?

I seen this documentary on the History Channel about Hell and during this show they had mentioned a book that was written from a guy that the Pope kicked out of the country. This guy was mad when he wrote the book, mad at the Pope that is and in the book he discribes the seven deadly sins and the stages of hell, which in the last stage of hell the Pope is destroyed by Satan. I know the book was written 1600-1800, I have looked up everything imaginable on the net to find my answer. And I know if all else fails to ask you all.

I have a canvas with a rather graphic image of a nude woman that is signed Egon Schiele with the date 1912 beneath it. It is in what I believe is its original frame. A friends Grandfather took it our of Germany when the nazis started to rise to power. I inherited it about 8 years ago. Its a very colorful image. She is wearing stockings, shoes, and a ribbon in her hair. She is quite thin, and I have the impression she may have been a prostitute from the pose that she is in.

His book "On the road." And I've read some others. I got in to them a few years ago. Anyways I was thinking. In todays world would hitchhiking across the country and "freeloading" off of acquaintances even be possible? Also here we are 50 years down the road (pardon the pun) would any publisher even look at this book? It's essentially just a written record of his life for a year or so. Wouldn't they just tell you to put it on your myspace or start blogging or something? Not to take anything away from it but he wasn't doing anything except living against the "normal " of the time and trying to find himself. A lot of people do this everyday. What makes it special?

I am trying to figure out what this quote from walden means: "It is hard to have a southern overseer; it is worse to have a northern one; but worst of all when you are the slave driver of yourself."

what's the difference between a southern and a northern overseer? was it more brutal in the south or something?
