I'm "between books" and looking for a decent SF or Fantasy novel. I'm tired of series and epic volumes. Books I've recently enjoyed included: "The Etched City" by K.J. Bishop, "Perdido Street Station" by China Mieville, "Old Twentieth" by Joe Haldeman and "The White Wolf's Son" by my favorite author, Michael Moorcock. Any recommendations? I tend to enjoy "high fantasy" and sf that's not too heavily weighed down with technical jargon. Every third book these days has a dragon on the cover or is just another boring "World War II in Outer Space" story. I want something orginal and innovative---here's a challenge---something Harlan Ellison would like (I've met him, so don't try and fool me!). :-). Thanks in advance for recommendations.

Where can i get a children's version of sleepy hollow (the headless horse man) I haven't got time to wait for it to arrive by post so i need one of the net. The original is a bit too heavy going for a class of 10 year olds. Any ideas... or short story writers?

Whenever I'm in ballet i get very frustrated because i feel this is something i cant fix. When i try to stand in the best fifth position i can, my feet roll in, and then when i try to correct this my turn out gets even worse. I dont want to cause an injury because i pushed too far. When i try to turn out it often hurts my knees and hips (I'm not even pushing that much) If anyone knows of something i could do without causing injury that would be great. thanks!

My mom found this bag of photos that she's been searching for for years of my sister and I when we were young. However, she was extremely disappointed to find out that almost all of them, especially the good ones, were damaged by water badly and stuck together. Is there any way to unstick them without ruining them?

Mahatma Gandhi started an Individual Satyagraha on October1940. The Indian National Congress had demanded an Indian Government responsible to the Central Legislative Assembly and independence for India at the end of the War in return for India's participation in WW-II. The demands had not met with a response, prompting Mahatma Gandhi to protest in this way. I'd like to know where he began this.
