It sounds like your younger..maybe middle school?? It also sounds like you are looking for kind of a romance/ teens dealing with problems. As a middle school teacher I would recommend
She Said Yes a true story of a girl in Columbine High School,
Go Ask Alice another true story written as a journal
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is a wonderful series that all my students enjoy.
I also highly recommend the book Elsewhere..it is about a girl who dies and what happens when she arrives in Elsewhere (heaven) There is a love story and some really interesting things to think about.
Bras & Brommsticks is about a teenage witch
Cut is about a girl who cuts herslef and what happens to her in a hospital
The Lovely Bones is a book about a young girsl death and the way she helps catch the killer.(very good!!)
My students all go to Barnes and Noble. com and type in what they like and see what other people who liked those books bought sometimes they find relaly great suggestions.

Kudos to both the asker of the question and all who have answered so far. However since I have not read many of the books you have mention all though I plan to someday. I have to say that I need a better definition of the word "good" and how it applies to this particular question.
Do you mean good plot, good setting, the characters are well drawn.... etc....or other critiria.
