A friend, a cat-lover who's willing to take him/her, or as a last resort a shelter. How can you speak about disposing of a pet as though he/she is an object rather than a living, breathing creature/companion? Why do you have a pet to start with if that's how you feel about animals...?
I love cats. I have two myself & they make my house a home. Yes they can be annoying occasionally but so can my boyfriend, my family, everyone I love & I don't dispose of them!

It's a good thing that proper disposal is of value to you. Surely there is someone who is tolerent of felines and would seek an opportunity to receive whatever value there might be in having one.
Let it go, just give it away.

or, if your cat knows how to survive in the wild, you can just let it go.
