"Belly and the Other Members" by Aesop is helpful in appreciating this new application of research. Nature magazine reports Dec 06 that stomach microbes may "lead to a way of fighting malnutrition" around the world! Jeffrey Gordon, Washington University Genome Sciences says, "For decades, doctors have treated bacteria in a WARLIKE manner, yet most encounters we have with (the unseen world of) microbes are very beneficial."
1st response: This fable has an all-time value: never look down on backstage-lowest level work. People on top have many more supporting people performing menial/humbler tasks. Regarding the beneficial action of bacteria, "stomach microbes" are indispensable, but they can become harmful if they migrate to other organs. For example, there are microorganisms which eat dead cells and renew our skin, but on bed sheets, they can make an asthma situation worse. Connecting this to the fable, just do not underestimate what you think is too small or not visible to the eye.

With the growth of the internet, wireless communication, movies, video games, etc., do you think the book industry (fiction in particular) is on the downhill slope?

Might books simply transform to another medium in the future? If so what?

Or if you think they will disappear entirely, when do you think that will happen?

What do you think of it? And could you spot areas where I can improve ?

The light descended from the sky
A blinding white light; I lost all sight, I couldn’t see
Closer it came, more thrilling it became
Thrilling terror, I felt as it came upon my
Family, then, it came upon me

It covered me with peace, it ceased all pain
Ecstatic joy, Enthusiastic pleasure, a happy demise
Overwhelmed me with delight, Overpowered me with emotion
Captured, thrown into the rapture; excited, I forgot pain
And dismay as I was carried away, off to paradise

The light disappeared, I was alone
Not a soul was there, I searched everywhere
Quiet it was, as though no one had ever been born
Everyone had vanished and here I was, banished
Despair crept inside me, a numbing despair

I ran outside, to find anyone, I tried
Someone left behind, someone like me
Nothing was there to see or hear but a desolate silence
That echoed an eerie sensation; I cried
In desperation and distress and as a plea

A dreadful feeling descended upon me
Abandoned, I was, forsaken and mistaken
A dismal destiny loomed; I was doomed for eternity
Condemned, I lamented, I repented; worthlessly
Cast aside; everyone but me was blessed and taken

In the empty street, a gusty wind blew
Reminding me of the wound with which I cope
My spirit died, my faith dried and again I cried
And as I cried, into my view, as image flew
Of a holy place, I dragged my ragged self in hope

Once inside, I tore my clothes in grief
And I knelt before the idol in shame
Holding my hands apart, I screamed out my heart
Why, I cried as faltered did my belief
What have I done? No answer came

Hours passed; colourless and with agony
Sat a wretched I, Distraught as in vain I fought
A forlorn fate, I have fallen into; so damned I prefer
To die; Gloom filled my soul's hole as misery
Set upon me, cursing me for worst as I begin to rot

I can't be specific about subject, sorry... just can't.

Certain cards have been played against me. You could almost say these people are like the spawn of Satan in the way they wield their power and destroy lives. It was so cleverly crafted that it will take about 20 years (or executed tomorrow) for them to come to fruition and in the end it will leave me a broken man. It will take my worldly possesions, leave me in an old and crippled state. I will finish the last years of my life struggling and working like I never had too work, a loaf of bread and cheese will be a feast... and there is nothing more I can do too prevent it from happening....

what book, story would you suggest for me too read to try and re-center my life. (although I do love the bible....lets find something inspired by god and written by a poet or authors hand).

One of my favorite reads was, Les Miserable by Victor Hugo, what other books, poems, would you suggest?

I have done a abc book for my god daughter... my first attempt at scrapping I might add.... every one thinks it turned out really pretty...although I was not really satisfied... I tried to match my stock paper and embelishments to colors in my pictures.... but I did not do a very good job of matching my pages next to each other. I want to do a album with my familys old black and whites.... so what colors should I use. I have heard I should stick with brown tones... tans and yellows. So what to you think I need some advice please.
