What weapons were the American army and navy using from 1870-1914 (before WWI)?
I'm making a report on the progression/evolution of the US military's weapons and technology from after the civil war to before WWI, and am having trouble finding sources that list and describe the various weapons adopted over time, and info about them...any info or sources would be appreciated, thanks

Its important to get out there and live life and not get too bogged down by questions that are so subjective no definitive answer exists. So go out and do and think more about the things you can find anwers too! Too much navel contemplation is bad for the soul. I used to ask myself all these kinds of questions but now I have learnt their place in life is so small because there answers change very litle if anything anyway.

I saw an artist on tv that was using a paint brush to add shading to her drawing. It looked like she was using a graphite palette (it looked like blush, but with graphite instead). Can anyone tell me more about this?

I've been playing clarinet for 6 years and I want to branch out to alto sax. I'm in high school and will need it for concert and marching band, and possibly jazz. Unfortunately, I can't be spending much more than $500, unless it's an incredible deal. I'm fine with a used sax if you know of a trustworthy seller. However, I'd rather not use eBay. Any help is appreciated.

I'm having trouble clearly understanding what relationship the obstacle/ surprise has to the overall goal of the protagonist. It seems like the first act turning point obstacle can be any ol obstacle so long as it is has a continuous influence throughout the second act. What makes for a very effective first act obstacle/ surprise?

I'm writing a story but I dont know what to do. I haven't really started yet because I'll get all these ideas in my head all at once that dont go together. None of my friends are into the genre I'm wanting to write so I'm asking abroad. In a fantasy story, what would you like to see? More action? More Magic? More mysterious strangers? Dragons? Knights? Please let me know.
