i would have to say tolkens 'the hobbit' due to the fact that when i was little i used to sit on my daddys tummy whille he read it to me and i would some times read to me. it did 2 things for me a)i learened how to read and b) i got a lot of bonding time with my dad since he was traveling alot during that time

Little Women. That was my favorite book growing up. It taught me alot about personality, family, perseverance, making dreams and goals come true, and other many valuable lessons. Jo was probably my favorite character because I could relate most to her sense of independence, her stubborness, her love of reading, her temper, her clumsiness, and other things.
