I believe asking is, because without the questions, there can be no answers. Please share your thoughts.

I am writing multiple short stories/novellas at the moment. However I am finding it hard to write them down on paper. I see the action vividly in my mind, like a movie with color and action and sound....however I find it hard to put it on paper. my discriptions end up revealing a totaly different picture. How do I show the reader the right picture without ruining it? I try explaining it to another person, but I end up giving them the basic details...is that a good idea? give the reader just the basic so that thier own imagination can fill in the specifics?
Help me please

After all, everyone can see thestrals if they see someone die. Harry saw Cedric die in the fourth book but when he boarded the 'horseless' carriages back to the Hogwarts express, he didn't see them. Is it because it takes some time before one can see thestrals?

I am comparing the features of Final Cut Pro vs. Adobe's Photoshop and its like. My friend tells me that I don't need Final Cut pro for our Indie film and Photoshop and other Adobe products will work just wonderfully. What are the advantages and disadvantages of having Final Cut Pro over Adobe's line up? Also can you suggest any other programs an amature indie film maker mind need to create a successful student film? (Bear in mind I cannot ask a teacher since i'm still in community college)

What is your favorite category to write about? Fiction - sci-fi/adventure/fantasy? Non-Fiction? Biographies, poetry? What do you like the most about writing in this particular genre and what or who inspired you to write about *whatever you're writing about*?

I'm interested in writing graphic-novels. Does anyone have any information on the writing process and how it may differ from other types of media? Are there any good web sites that might help me with my writing?

If you do not know the answer, please do not try to answer or guess the solution to my question. I posted a question that is currently opened about lighting, but I am not receiving the answers that I am looking for. They are all repeating each other and only answering parts of the questions. Here is an example of what I am trying to accomplish.

If you look at this picture you will noticed several lights were used to get this image. I need to know what type of lights are needed to achieve this. I do not necessarily need the technique, unless you are positive that that's how it was done. I just need to know what kind of lights? (Strobe, monolights, or continous) If there are other lights, please let me know.

Hey, I wonder if anyone can help me with this one. I am a huge fan of Hitchcock's Psycho and I am in the middle of writing a (fiction) story about it, and I would also like to write another one soon, but I am kind of stuck for any more ideas. If there are any Hitchcock fans out there who have seen this movie, do you have any ideas about what to write, preferably fictional? Maybe an alternate version of it or something?

If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it greatly! Thanks a lot!
