I was thinking that if something is illogical it is also in effect absurd because it is not grounded in reality as we live in a world governed by immutable physical laws. So what we think to be true through faux logic is in fact not true no regardless of our need/desire for it to be true. This is my logic, is it accurate or inaccurate? Where and how?

Is wonder if anyone knows, is Snape skilled enough at "Occumulency" that he would be able to lie to someone as powerful as Voldemort or Dumbledor and still not be "detected"?

I feel life is too short. If you agree, how to deal with this fact without feeling like you know the end of the story only 1/4 of the way through the book? How to live life fully, yet not regret anything? Purely a thought...

For example.... Could we, through language alone, describe to
someone who has never tasted one, what a Rib-eye steak tastes
like ?? If not , how could we begin to imagine that we could
describe Reality !

I dont think people who can think in new and interesting ways should be so undervalued. But sadly it seems that philosphy is no longer needed in this world or so corps and gov think so... Tis a shame and probably the greatest reason for the down fall of america and other great powers of the world in history. They are the artists, musicians and poets that work for nothing and give so much. They should be valued at the very least imo. Without free thinkers the system of gov / corps become single minded and easy to take control of but whos gona take control you might ask? Anyone that wants power, fools basicaly.

I'm doing a project on the 1968 Democratic National Convention, and in my research have reasoned the only really significant divide in the Democratic party was over Vietnam. What I want to know is: why did we go into vietnam in the first place, why was LBJ so determined to stay in Vietnam (as in how was it politically advantageous to have that position, both when he came into office and in 1968), and how would leaving Vietnam affect him and/or Humphrey politically? I generally know the Domino theory idea, but I really think there are other reasons. Things were looking dim and so many people thought that we should pull out despite domino theory. I think there was some political reason LBJ and Humphrey wanted to stay. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
