For us to be of principals, to believe that we are different from one another because we have created some concept of self, one that values values that may be of not much more value other then to convince us that such things make us better or worse than another... To feel righteous enough to disregard, make light, or justify the fact that we judge others, isn't it to distract us from the fact that in doing so, we are really judging ourselves, whats up with that? To acknowledge knowledge as much more than ignorance and thus project our own expectations of ourselves onto others in attempts to control something other then one's physical body, for the sake of achieving our own ends... Can peace be achieved as long as there is an accepted authority for reasons of manipulation and control of anyone other then the self?

Due my research, it seems that New York's nickname, the Big Apple, was slowly getting being adapted from the beginning of the 1920's starting with the horseracing of John Fitzgerald, continuing with the way Jazz musicians from New Orleans refered to New York City as the Big Apple for their triumphs of performences there in the '30s and '40s, then in '71 when New York adapted that name and decided to grow alot of red apples to "lure foreigners to New York", and finally finishing with making this spot in New York City called the "Big Apple Corner". There seems to be alot of other ways Big Apple started being used. On famous school in Brooklyn where my sister goes is called with two names: Bembi Academy and Big Apple Academy.

All right, so the history seems to be sort of clear... it appears that the nickname was being adapter by other people and businesses and slowly became New York's second name. Why I need as an answer here is a well-written essay about the Big Apple.

Really think about it before writing "OMG dis is lyke so0o rong!"

Other than not wanting to be killed and the fear of god or legal punishment, there really is no reason is there?

It's just established that you don't do that. But if you knew you could without any punishment whatsoever, you would, wouldn't you?

And why is it wrong to kill a human being but not a cow? or a mosquito? or a flower?

We are just animals in the end and killing is apart of our nature. Everything dies anyway. Pain is nothing more than a speck on the timeline of the universe. So why other than stability of government and society is killing wrong?

We cannot be certain about the future - obviously we cannot know what will happen in five years time, or five weeks, or five hours, with any certainty; but how far ahead can we safely presume certainty? Five minutes? Probably not. Five seconds? How far does our confidence extend? Of course, if you believe in God, Predestination or an Afterlife, it probably doesn't matter. But if you are reading a novel, watching a film or a football match, it'd be a comfort to know you might still be around at the end. Otherwise you might opt for something different, if you knew that your end was truly nigh. I would - but I'm not saying what!

The stranded on a desert island/fight for survival in unchartered areas type. Also, if it touches into the horror gern, that's a major plus to me.
(Already read the lord of the flies.)
Thanks.

it should be funny, not stupid, be able to fit under 5 minutes. It is a high-school film festival, so it should be appropriate.
