How bout Robinson Crusoe? It's a true classic, written centuries ago, [1719] by Daniel Defoe. A man is marooned on an island, but it's not deserted. There are cannibals living on the island.

*I do agree with you, I read hatchet in like, third grade.

If you want a book about survival and plane crashes then you should definitely try reading Hatchet!

What I'd tell you is not a book, it's a story "The Open Boat" by Stephen Crane.

I think " The most dangerous game" is an excellent read.

It's a short story, but it has excellent themes.

Look into it, you won't be disappointed.
