Confusion

Darkness encloses me
In a field of white fog
With wall as tall as mountains
To keep me inside my own labyrinth
Confusion and fear guide me
Into dead ends and dark allies
And I turn once again into the depths of my confusion
I then turn around and run towards a light
Where I find a big bronze gate
But alas I have no key and I fall to my knees and weep
For the ones that I live stand on the other side
And they point for me to go back into the darkness
The labyrinth consumes me and the gate disappears
And once again the darkness encloses me
In a field of white fog
With walls as tall as mountains
To keep me inside this prison
Confusion and fear guide me
Into dead ands and dark allies
And I turn again and again
In the depths of my own confusion

Have you ever read Oedipus Rex? Its a play by Sophocles. In it there is a theory that children at a young age have feelings for the opposite sex. Like, if you are a little boy you will have sexual feelings for your mother and even violent feelings towards your father because he "has" your mother. Jim Morrison started chanting this during a concert once "F*ck the mother, kill the father" and his manager started freaking out.

What do you think about something like this? Crazy, isn't it?

First of all let me say that this is the first time that I've used yahoo answers, and this is the best source for info I have ever used on the internet.
So after only posting two questions, I have quickly discovered that my topic would be a little more challenging than what I have time to deal with. Perhaps another time on my own I will challenge my original question.
The horrific events involving the Holocaust, which I am sure has several moral and ethical implications, I think would be an excellent place to begin.
I am writing an essay for the Elie Weisel Prize in Ethics contest, and I need some ideas to get my wheels turning. What are some Ethical aspects or implications of the film Schindler's List? I am writing a sort of Film critique essay on the subject surrounding the film for this contest.

There is someone whose dates fit into known events has possibly having been my grandmother. Same name, born 2 years after my grandfather, and deceased three years before his marriage to his second wife. I clicked on the "Source call number" link from familysearch.org and got this text as part of the information listed:

The document is listed as "Family group sheets prepared by patrons and taken directly to the temple; also baptism-endowment cards for the deceased on these family group sheets." (My grandfather and his second wife were LDS members, unsure if my grandmother was. Their children are mostly Catholic, one LDS.)

Additionally, it says: "No circulation to family history centers. Photocopying not allowed. Must show temple recommend or bishop's letter to use the material. Access to these records requires patron show proof that they may include his/her own lineage."

So, what are my chances of viewing these documents? I'm not an LDS member, so what is a bishop's letter?

Lets see, I like pretty much all genres of books aside from romance and science fiction novels. I really like books dealing with philosophy, history, and religion, and some fantasy or just random things. I already have a few books picked out but would enjoy your opinions. Thanks!

most of the colors that we know of are found in a rainbow, but I'm not sure where some of the "plain" colors, like brown, or gray come in.

What if I am doing nothing wrong?
What if I am good, just the way I am?
What if I can be loved 'because of' and not 'despite of'?
What if i am really fine, right now, and don't need to change?
What if I have nothing to apologize for?
What if I have nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about?
What if, I was and am doing good?

Then I would feel no anxiety...
Then I would not talk to you, cause you make me feel bad...
Then I would be relaxed and confident....
Then I would NOT believe that deep down, I am bad....
Then i would believe in myself and my purpose...
Then I would feel comfortable standing up for myself...
Then I would trust myself, no matter what...

I have come upon a new state of mind, in my life. The discovery
of wealth, that is generated first in the human mind. Now I
feel like I can overcome obstacles, that is very difficult to most.
The odds were stacked against me, and I realize that faith
moves mountains. And the human spirit, must be optimistic,
if it wants to move on. Because your words can make, or brake
you. In other words, being positive is better than being negative,
although it is much harder. But hey, that is life. So does
anybody out there, think that I have potential ? Do you think
that one day, I will be rich ?
