I have experience with writing fantasy sagas. Ah hell, its nothing but a long line of failures, lol. So anyway, does anybody have helpful words for writing the next great fantasy epic?

How about a new race of people that has been put in place by the governments of the world to destroy all other races. The new race fuels the flames in already existing racial conflicts, but as the battles rage a hero comes out of the new race only to lead the existing races to over come the new race.

Do what Goarge Lucas did. Create charachters everybody is going to love (if there bad guys make them really hateable) make the stories simple, but give them good twists. Everygood story has to have some amazing plot twists. Also don't be repetetive (i just finished reading series of unfornate events, don't get me wrong they were great, but seriously repetative) Try going a new direction, everyone has done something like star wars, but then you get someone like Christopher Paolini who takes the good verses bad and then makes it his own.
Hope that helps a bit.

Take one day in you life and write down everything that happens to you. Then take each thing and blow it out of propotion. Create a charachter and go with that.
