I am 12 years old. Male. Homeschooled.
Ok,
I read 300-400 page books in a week. These are NOT picture books, they don't even have pictures. I HATE books with pictures. I read about 100 pages per one hour and a half. (See I only read an hour and a half per day and some days I miss.) I read at a 11th grade level. I comprehend everything. I can read at a faster pace also but I don't like reading that fast. IS THIS WHAT A NORMAL 12 YEAR OLD READS? AND IS IT NORMAL? IS IT BAD?

I'll tell you How the Sun Rose.

I'll tell you how the sun rose, -- A ribbon at a time. The steeples swam in amethyst, The news like squirrels ran. The hill untied their bonnets, The bobolinks begun. Then I said softly to myself, "That must have been the sun!"

But how he set, I know not. There seemed a purple stile Which little yellow boys and girls Were climbing all the while Till when they reached the other side, A dominie in gray Put gently up the evening bars, -- And led the flock away.

What does the poem symbolize? I have no idea how to interpret it.

I am president of the Philosophy Club at my school. Every other week we meet to discuss a paper. Both students and full time faculty attend. I am in charge of finding these papers. I am looking for something that is about the length of a standard journal article, or maybe a shorter book chapter, accessable enough that novices can participate, but (more importantly) complex enough that professional PhD philosophers can be entertained by an hour discussion on the topic. These pieces need to be controvercial, and it would help if they weren't extremely well known in that subsection of the field. Maybe a spurious argument for something that seems at face value to be false, but might require some work to pin down what the actual problem was. If you all knew of anything like this, it would be extremely helpful. The more the better!

Remember, no matter what the case, the parameter here is that nobody will believe or agree with you have to say. Is this a good reason for you not to say it?

I love VC Andrews (the early works) and am looking for a similar author. I don't care for the books that the new "ghostwriter" has come out with since her death, and I'm trying to find a new author to read that more closely resembles her style.

Would you consider her genre to be Suspense Thriller? Mystery Thriller? Romatic Suspense? What? I've searched these genres many times on Amazon, but have yet to find something that piques my interest in such a way that I feel the need to read the book right then and there!

I love a juicy, suspenseful read that entails uncovering sorted pasts and shocking secrets! If you can help me out, I also enjoy modern suspense thrillers (not crime drama, police procedural, or gory horror novels) that offer edge-of-your-seat reading and plenty of raw, racy sex scenes, whether it's love and passion, or hungry violence!

Can someone give me some great suggestions? Ten points to the longest list, and please be sure your suggestions fit my criteria! Thx
