With so many members, and if you have thousands of 'friends' the bulletins disappear so quickly, who notices them?
Anybody any positive experiences of this?

Recently, I spent 100 pounds (the most I've ever spent) on two Evita stalls, (Adelphi Theatre, London) because the new acclaimed Argentian "star" Elena Roger got such rave reviews. Imagine my surprise to find a really 3rd rate understudy playing "Evita": she couldn't sing, dance or act and no under-study had been announced. At the interval, I found the manager and asked what was happening. He airily said "Oh, everyone knows Elena Roger doesn't perform at matinees or Mondays!! You should have been told!"
Of course, I hadn't been told, neither had a theatre full of people, including a dozen other angry customers who all walked out at the interval. Would you term this a fraudulent practice and a flouting of The Trade Description Act?

I have written Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber requesting my hundred pounds back. (Some hopes!)
How do you solve a problem like "Evita"??????

My grandpa always told me about this riddle, but I cannot remember the answer.. maybe some one can help me out. I know there is a solution.
There are two doors with gaurds in front of you. You know that one of the dorrs leads to piles of gold, while the other leads to a bottemless pitt.. but you don't know which one is which. You also know that one of the gaurd always lies and the other always tells the truth, but you dont know which one is which either. Now I think you only have one question, but I might be wrong, you may have 2. But what question could you ask either of the gaurds to figure out which door to go into?

I'm not saying she's the best poet out there...but she's the first I ever really loved, and will always be the closest to my heart.

I am looking for like the prices of cars, houses, and other stuff. Also if you know any good sites other than like this day in history or famous birthdays for any good topics to include on a thing like a time capsule thingy this would be extremely helpful. (more specifically for August 31, 2005) I know they have the sites that you can order this type of thing off of but I don't have the time to wait for that or really the money either.

Is this just the begining of the human race's civilisation or are we near the end?

In 1 thousand years time will we be spread throughout the galaxy, perhaps universe and look backk on todays times as we look now upon Romans, Normans etc. Or, are we killing ourselves faster than we can come up with solutions, will time run out for us, will we destroy the planet, our life support system? Are the stars really our future or is it imprisonment on a ruined, overheated and resourcefully drained planet, Earth?

two nights ago I was lying in bed when I heard my wife's footsteps walking out of the room. My son, who sleeps between us, began to moan and wiggle, as he usually does when she leaves. I rolled over to put his pacifier in his mouth, which usually calms him down. When I rolled over, though, so did my wife. I said to her, "I could have sworn that I just heard you walk out of the room." She said, "I thought I heard you walk out of the room"!!! I was locked and loaded with my .45 in about 10 seconds and walking around the house looking for a burglar - but all the doors were locked and the windows were shut. We both know what we heard. It was absolutely clear.

Also, I am a rational human being who does not usually attribute the inexplicable to the supernatural. But I can't account for this and I am having a little trouble. What do you think? Anyone ever had any experiences with the supernatural????

An Old Man and Youth

Can you look into old eyes and see
That love once sparkled from them young and free?
Can you inspect a pale and wizened brow
And find the prints of lips that made it glow?
Can you discover in a thin and down-cupped mouth
The joys that gave all living and all being worth?

If you pretend to do these things and well
I’ll grant you more than ever tellers tell,
I’ll make your bank of riches overgrow:
The wealth of ages you will surely know
For bringing back my age-worn heart to me,
Which is the secret of longevity.
