I love classical music. In college my friends would always ask me why i would lidten to that stuff, I was a music major, but also just listened to mozart and other composer casually. i think their is a drop off not only in music and art appreciation, but in interest!! What can we do to save the music?

Art expands kids imaginations to grow in a world that is boundless. Why are we training the next generation to think only in Binary code? should we not force them to take up a art, the imagination is key in creation of news ideas...without the influence of art, how will they expad their minds?

Almost every girl I have ever talked to (and its a lot, some of which I wish I didn't) say that they think vampires are sexy. Why? Is it a control thing ie the hypnosis, or do they just like tall dark and handsome men with apast a la Lord Byron? So...yeah...whats the deal? I know a chap named Barlow from a town called Salem's Lot who can help me out. I mighht do it, but...if its for something stupid I think I will just pass. So ladies..why do you like the vamps?

I live in the metro Washington, DC area and would prefer a place I can go to in person, but mail order is okay too. The camera specs say the developer should use a "panoramic mask" to process 24x58mm frames.

Seeing as the arts in our public schools are completely wrecked, and recently Portland Public Schools has made it so that the class fees for art classes are not required, we need ways to raise money for the arts department. Rallying our peers support is one, but we need actual factual money... any ideas?

Why do you like certain artworks while others don't move you at all, while others yet are just "rubbish" to you? What standards would you apply to a work or art to decide if it is of aesthetic value? How it relates its content? Artefactual elements? Social/use-value considerations? Postmodern levelling?
How should aesthetic form best mediate sedimented content?

Someone I know has a severe degenerative neurological disease. "Bob" says that he no longer wishes to remain alive and prays for death every night (he is a professed Christian). He has suffered many devastating losses--mobility, job, friends, cognitive function (memory, clear speech, confusion, etc.), sexual function, among other things. He is still a middle aged man and this disease probably will not kill him. He understands that he is depressed, but does not "believe" in therapy or counseling ("it's all bullsh*t"). Every day is a formidable struggle for Bob--just getting out of bed and into the bathroom takes enormous energy and concentration--he states that "this is not living--this is hell." Don't spout platitudes or try to tell him to "have a better attitude." He will rip your throat out! He believes that if anyone would spend 24 hours in his mind/body, they, too, would prefer death. What would you say to Bob?

I read tonight about how women weren't allowed to act in Shakespeare's times and so younger men dressed up as girls. Is this for real? What about kissing and stuff in the romances that Shakespeare wrote? I wouldn't have thought that would be allowed either back then. Does anyone know about this?

Hi. I'm in an AP US History course. Tomorrow we have to do a presentation comparing the Chesapeake/Virginia colony with the Mass. Bay and Plymouth colonies... Well my teacher said to praise the colony we're chosen to represent (in my case Chesapeake) and try to come up with reasons that that colony is better than the Mass. Bay and Plymouth colonies. Can u guys help me make a list of pros (not cons) of living in the Chesapeake/Virginia colony versus living in the Mass. Bay or Plymouth colonies? I really need to ace this presentation so any help would be so wonderfully appreciated- and i know y'all would apprecitae 10 pts!!!! Please help!!

My story is a gothic romance set in 1799 England. So it's about a gypsy girl who is adopted by a kind clergyman. When she grows up and the clergyman dies, she is sent to the clergyman's nephew who is to be the girl's gaurdian. And this nephew is one of those "tall, dark, and brooding" wealthy gentleman with a horrifying family secret. I was planning to call this story "The man who cried" but then my friend told me it was already the name of a movie starring some dude called Johnny Depp. And the last thing I want is people to think that I copied the name. So, does anyone have a good title for this dark story??

the saying:

When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change

I know that you can look at things differently, but in what way exactly do those things change that you're looking at?

examples welcomed!
