Feel free to disagree, I'm not saying I'm right, but there's this thing about prayer that doesn't seem right to me. Ok, I know a lot of people with religious beliefs don't judge people, yet they pray for them for guidance. Isn't that presuming that what the person has done is wrong? Isn't it essentially JUDGING that person by thinking they need guidance, by thinking that they need to change their ways? I'm not talking about people like rapists who clearly are wrong and do need help - I'm talking about things such as sexual orientation, people of other faiths, etc. - stuff that people claim they do not judge yet still pray to help make this person change their ways. It seems to me like they feel superior.
When answering though please don't tell me to convert to a certain set of beliefs. I just want a straight answer.

I have written a teen fiction book, but don't know who to get it published by. I want a well-known and great publisher. Which is the best? How do I send my manuscript to them? By e-mail or just regular mailing? Do I get a copyright before or after I show them my manuscript? I want to become a bestselling author. Do I need an agent? Where do I find one? Are xlibris, iUniverse, or Bookstand Publishing any good? I do NOT want to self-publish. I want a publisher to publish for me. Do publishers accept ALL the manuscripts they read? Which ones do they look for? What are their expectations and standards? Please tell me EVERYTHING you can! Thank you!

A lady here recently asked if her bad vibes near a person have any legitimacy. Another person and myself answered her similarly; both initially warning her to not assume her negative senses about someone are justified only by said feelings, with the other person then saying that he does understand the possible power of bad vibrations because they've always been correct in his experience. But we, when last I checked, seemed to have been the only ones to warn her against judging people by what she senses about them instead of by what she confirms about them. She chose one of the other answers as the best, which is fine in my case, as mine was simple and didn't elaborate all that well on her question, but the other answers fed into her concerns more than they asked her to rethink her thought process, and that concerns me. If the basis for judging someone is an unexplained feeling, how many good people will be wrongly accused, and how might they have made us better for really knowing them?

I am working on my first full-length novel but in the meantime it'd be easy for me to do freelance work on just about any topic. Where do I start looking for work? Is it reccomended that I go back to school? Any help is appreciated.

If possible, I would like the Biblical, Talmudic, Koranic, Buddhist, Hindu, Shinto and humanist viewpoints on this issue as well as that gained from detailed study of existential philosophy & psychologyi.e. the writings of people like Sartre, Kant, heidegger, Jung, Freud, Derrida & Alain de Botton.

I'm not really sure what the answer to this question would be.

I generally believe that human beings should be able to do whatever they want as long as they don't hurt anyone else. But I don't know how that theory works when it comes to hurting yourself. Theoretically, if someone wants to kill themself, that should be their perogative. Your body is your temple and you can do whatever you want to it, right?

But maybe not.
In US law, I do believe suicide is against the law. Do you think this should be?

Clearly, commiting suicide DOES affect other people - it hurts friends and family and loved ones. If you have a family to support, you are depriving them of income. Then again, maybe they do better under your life insurance policy than when you were alive. (actually, does anyone know if you can still collect life insurance on someone who commits suicide?)
