Twigs,in my opinion that is a very good answer,i think that is one of the best adverts in recent times. It is nice to see someone can see Art in places where you would not normally expect to see it.

It is just possible simon2blues that David ockney could have been wrong.

David Hockney said that the only thing on TV which really suited (and used) the medium in an artistic way was cartoons! The light and the flatness and colours could be seen as a kind of pop art.

And i´d agree, its based (ripped off from) on a video art piece by Fischli and Weiss. Although it may have been Noble and Silver, or some other double act whose name i can´t remember. It used explosives and all sorts of triggers/reactions though, and although the original was better, Honda did well as they only had a car to work with.
On another note, remember that old car advert that was just insane? Full of valleys of steel ball bearings and fat men coated in oil? That was cool.
Doctor Who. (yes, the modern ones too)
Red and Blue. (the clay animation)
Cat Deeley. (Mmmm)

Rescue Me, on FX with Denis Leary- I think that if art imitates life than Rescue Me is definitely art. It is so raw, and flits back and forth between heartbreaking and hilarious, just like life. It is brilliant.

I, Claudius (on BBC recently) was astonishing drama. Probably the best thing I've ever seen on TV. Incredible acting, great characters, witty dialogue, real heartpulling drama. It was one of those TV series that really pulled you in - nothing existed outside of it.
