I am working on my first full-length novel but in the meantime it'd be easy for me to do freelance work on just about any topic. Where do I start looking for work? Is it reccomended that I go back to school? Any help is appreciated.

Start by particpating in NaNoWriMo to help write your novel www.nanowrimo.org

As for schooling, you don't need it! You can freelance without schooling. In fact, if they tell you you need to go back to school, they don't know the first thing about freelance writing. There are some great books to show you how at Writer's Digest Books.

Going back to school can help hone your skill but it isn't manditory. A passion for writing and a love of words is all it takes. For information on freelance writing, get a book called Write Where You Live. It's available from Writer's Digest.

Schooling is the best way to advance your technical skill and references, but actual writing experience is the best way to help your goal as a Writer to flourish. Try submitting short stories or articles to local publications or non-profit organizations with magazines, newsletters and other "published" periodicals to build up references and a portfolio of experience.

get a life - and a real job - writers do not make much money unless they are good - and you i can clearly see that your not - leaving stupid remarks on peoples posts - "Any help is appreciated" that's what you wrote - if you want help from others why would you be so hateful to someone who wants some help also ?? doesn't make sense to me.
