Probably not like these.

These four paintings were created with liquid tempera encased in acrylic paint over an acrylic primed canvas.

What do you guys think?

I was in Michael's one day and I was buying a print of Starry Night...A woman who worked there wanted to know if I painted that picture and had just brought it in for framing. Is it that people find art boring or are there really people out there that are that ignorant?

So they don't have any fiction or philosophy or anything like that? How can they rag on American culture? We may over-eat and look at porn and gamble, but at least we hone in on our artistic abilities.

I am researching my family history and have been able to go back to about AD 730 on my side and to AD 120 on my wifes side. Here is where the debate is.

Everything I have on my side of the family is verifable with birth certificates, marriage records, baptism records or the World History books.

Obviously AD 120 in Wales won't have a whole lot of official church or civil records hanging around for me to look at, but I have found some sources that, if I were to follow the leads, will lead me to AD 120 - but again, no birth certificates, baptism records, marriage records or the like.

So the question is, "How far are you willing to go without proof?"

Thanks.

Mehmet the Conqueror took Constantinople in 1453 after battering the walls with his cannon. Some books say that afterwards, he rebuilt the walls.
I used to live in Istanbul and work in the old city near where the successful assault was made. A guide book said that for that reason, the section of walls in that area are in the most ruinous condition. I had a look and it was true. In other stretches there were plenty of massive walls and towers, but in the assault area - just south of Edirne Kapi - just bits and pieces. So how could Mehmet have had them rebuilt?
I also know that about that time the style of fortification changed from high walls and towers because they were vulnerable to cannon - as shown by the Fall of Constantinople. So wouldn't it have been a bit stupid to builod them again in the same style?
