Better than anyone I know. I hate being late. If I'm meeting a friend, or have a job interview, or going to the airport, etc I'll probably try to arrive at least half an hour early and go and get a coffee and read a book somewhere close by. That way I can relax and even if something happens, like the train is delayed, I will still be on time.

It's great! I spent a lot of time as a student riding the rails in Germany. Die Bahn sets the standard for punctuality. You will learn to love punctuality German style. It's so empowering to know an event will take place at a certain time without any doubt. My hat is off to the Germans...they are truly the masters of time.

Always good. By being late you inconvienence other people. I have a relative who is always 30 minutes late for everything, it is annoying so we have to always tell him everything starts earlier than it really does.

Being late for the office can get you fired.

Being late to school can get you in trouble depending on your teacher, not to mention it is distracting to other students.

Being late for college puts you behind and is a distraction.

By not being punctual you set yourself up for stress by always rushing, especially if you have to catch a plane or be on a schedule that is not flexible.

Being punctual now will serve you well later in life.

Punctuality means respecting other people's time. It is one trait of a mature and responsible person. So it is good to be punctual always regardless of the condition and people you agreed to meet, including children.

Very, very, very important. Doesn't matter what you do in life being on time or early is important...although some may say if your ontime your late. You get more respect from others when your early and your showing respect when your already sitting there in the classroom waiting for your teacher instead of walking in after she/he has already begun (I would know I got told about it by one of my English teachers in college...I am perpetually late.) Same goes for work...they want to see you there atleast, in my line of work 15 minutes before you are supposed to be there so that you are ready before it is time to start. Again it shows your put together and it shows you respect them and that they can take you seriously from the start. Yea so if your always early keep it up your on the right track...if your like me and not always early (often late) you'd better start making some changes now because you won't find that being late gets you anywhere good.

Just me and my experiences.

Punctuality is very good, it sort of disciplines a person in preparation for the world out there.

Good.
Personally, I find it disrespectful to others whenever one does not honor the other for showing up on time. It reflects badly on your character.
However, if it's unavoidable... have the courtesy to call & inform ahead. It's the least you can do. Then set up a new appointment but of course be punctual this time!

Don't listen to these fools. I live my life making excuses. Always late but worth the wait. I come in when i want to and rearrange everything after they made their so called decisions. I also make the most money than everyone. That's the way i got my position. Also here's anther tip. Always answer a question with a question. it makes you look smart. I used to have this boss that confronted me on this. he actually cornered me. Of course i asked him a question that he had no answer for. When i left the office I heard him scream because he was so frustrated with me. But I left with the power.

To work it's the best, when going out with friends it's good as well, every once in a while is it good to be late, but it takes work being on time, gettung up early enough to get ready before leaving the house or if running late making sacrifices to get there as fast as you can.
