You rag on something you obviously know nothing about. Do some research, besides asking inane questions on this site.
At one time the library of Alexandria was the gratest library in the world (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Library_of_Alexandria). "Civilized" westerners, of course, destroyed it. Many treasures, including large numbers of library resources (no, not just the Qur'an) were savaged during the 2003 assault. Check out your own local library. You may be surprised to find they have more than bound copies of "People" and Bibles. Of course, they may not have all that much on Islam, Buddhism, Confucianism, or Marxist Communism.
On the other hand, you can always fall back on your "artistic abilities." You have a good start, with your creation of a Middle East that bears little resemblance to reality.

Hmmm.. the Library of Alexandria - the most famed (and oldest) library in the world - contains texts from all over the world spanning centuries. I believe its location may be considered 'middle eastern'.

now that's interesting. where did you hear so?
well, i live in the middle east, and dude, there isn't a book in any language that you can't find here. and if you wont take my word for it, just be smart enough (since you are idiotically prejudiced anyway) and think, even if we didnt have bookstores or public libraries, or university libraries that provide to us, we will always have the Virgin Megastore. they sell books too, dont they? and not about Koran.
so all in all, your post is offensive more than it being anything else.
