I am NOT referring to the movie by the same name made in 1975 with Al Pacino. I am referring to the term or phrase itself. What does it mean..and where does it originate from?

I mean think about this logically, would Lily really think that Sirius raising Harry in her absence be a GOOD idea?

This is honestly for those who read and appreciate the Harry Potter series. If you have nothing helpful or creative to say, then don't answer this question. I was completely caught off guard by this pairing and felt it made no sense and wasn't needed at all.

I ask this question because in my high-school European history class, I was told that Hitler was popularly supported by the German people at many points during his rule due to the Great Depression and the Treaty of Versailles and how he turned the German economy around and basically just a propaganda state.

When I mentioned this later in my college history class, my professor seemed horrified by the idea and quickly dismissed it saying there was "no evidence" of it. He avoided any further answer on the subject. He told us that he was Jewish when we started talking about Hitler and he had a strong French heritage, so of course a Jew with French lineage would understandably bear a grudge against Hitler. But his answer didn't satisfy me, mainly because he replied angrily to it and didn't go into any detail other than dismissing it as 'ridiculous'.

So I ask here in hope of finding the truth, as Google has failed me.

Nicolette is from the North. She is snobby, rude, extremely rich, intolerant of peasants, with long chestnut hair, piercing green eyes, and ivory skin. Semele is from the South. She is kind, compassionate, optimistic, fair, with long ebony tresses, warm brown eyes, and olive skin. Esolde is from the East. She is quiet, intelligent, introverted, self-concious, beautiful, fragile, with platinum blonde curls, deep blue eyes, and pale skin. Willa is from the West. She is a free spirit, blunt, an orphan, tomboyish, sarcastic, lived a life of a sailor, with curly auburn hair, tan freckled skin, and hazel eyes.
These four girls are called by a mysterious object known only as the Compass Rose. They must fufill a prophecy and banish Kashmir, the evil dictator, from their world.
In it is a love story between Semele and a young sorcerer, Willa learns what became of her family, Esolde discovers self-confidence, and Nicolette finds meaning to her otherwise perfect life.

If we believe in the law of cause and effect, then surely everything we do is caused by something that happens to us, or by the way we are at birth, or by some interaction between the two? Surely the past determines the future? Even if there is some element of randomness, how can something that happens at random be defined as a choice? We have no control over things that happen at random.

The hurdles of the past, the situations of the present, and the inability to get past pain, forgiveness, etc. Yet you have all the things around you to help you get past these things, but you never forget, you always remember, and the pain always persists. Why do we choose to continue living life with such pain, other than our selfless desire to not let all those who live and love us to grieve over our passing on to some other place...or no where...

Technology has increased our bandwidth to communicate, expanded our community in which we can communicate, but if we only ask meaningless questions what good is it? And has technology made us so lazy that we no longer search for the meaningful questions?

Not Maria Theresa. I've been looking for this name for awhile. He was afraid they wouldn't recognize his daughter's authrority and make everyone sign a document. Of course, this didn't work and after his death, his neighbors attacked and took control of his lands. I think the daughter was killed. I could be wrong. I also think it was Austrian. I could be wrong. If I could be any more vague... I would be. ^_^ Thanks for any clues you might provide.
