Have you completed your research? Do you have an outline or a rough draft? If so, then it is possible. However, you will need several revisions if you want a decent dissertation.
Good luck!
P.S. Are you doing it on a computer? If so, then it is possible even with revisions. If you are doing it on a typewriter. Good luck to you!

Where are you in the process- research, outline.....when you think about it....if all the groundwork is done, that ccomes out to about 750 words a day.
After all my groundwork was done, I got my thesis written in about 1 1/2 weeks, the revisions took about another 2 weeks. Of course, this was a 70 page paper and back in those days (14 years ago), a cut and paster on my computer could take in excess of 30 minutes, then I double the memory at a cost of $200 to 4 meg.

You could easily write 20,000 in 4 weeks. But to turn that into a POLISHED, FINAL draft will take SERIOUS dedication. I can write a 50,000 word novel in a month-- but it is a FIRST draft.
Good luck.

Well, if a) you're an extremely talented writer b) you have all the research done and c) have an endless supply of espresso? It's slightly hopeful. However, if one of these conditions is missing, I fear you may be up a creek without a paddle.

Well, most of what I do is write for a living, and if you have a mastery of the material you intend to cover, it is not at all difficult to write 4,000 to 5,000 words a day.

If you've already done all of the research, do nothing but write, eat, and sleep, and your adviser can immediately, quickly edit your drafts.
A lot of ifs. I'm skeptical it can be done.

Yes - but only if you start NOW. ie the longer you spend debating it, the less time you will actually have to do it.
