Not Maria Theresa. I've been looking for this name for awhile. He was afraid they wouldn't recognize his daughter's authrority and make everyone sign a document. Of course, this didn't work and after his death, his neighbors attacked and took control of his lands. I think the daughter was killed. I could be wrong. I also think it was Austrian. I could be wrong. If I could be any more vague... I would be. ^_^ Thanks for any clues you might provide.

It sounds a little like the father of Lady Jane Grey, who reigned as Queen of England, Ireland, and France for nine days in the 16th century before being deposed by her cousin Mary, who became Mary I of the same realms. However, that has nothing to do with Austria, and my familiarity of Austrian history is rather weak, so I honestly don't know.
