This is a rhetorical question I just want to hear opinions:
My employer asked me if i've ever "considered going on the nicotine patch during work hours?" so that I don't take smoke breaks during the day. Is this considered discrimination? I know smoking is a choice but so is religion. That is to say, you are not born catholic, jewish, athiest... at some point in life you "choose" to honor these religious beliefs. thus if smoking = choice; religion = choice ...see my point?

So many that I have dialogued with claim to have no interest in church, and state that you don't need "religion," and seem to find the word almost offensive - but at the same time they are also the most rigid about the bible, believing every single word to be the absolute truth. They also seem to dislike other branches of Christianity, most notably catholicism To me, that makes them MORE religious!

here is what i think. if and 18 yr old committ a crime he/she should be charge as a minor and here is why. At 18 you cant go in a liguor store or a bar and get a drink becuase you are too young, most clubs nowadays are 21 and over, y isnt every club 18 and over since they say thats the legal age.do you still think that an 18 yr old who committ a crime should be tried as an adult yes or no and why?

This is kinda scary to think about and admit.
I am going to make an appointment, but I don't want my husband to know or look at me differently...than he probably already does.
But I have been avoiding social issues~spent christmas alone.
I know I truely don't have anything to be so sad about...but I am.
I just can't shake this feeling of dispair....and its hard to put it in words. I'm concerned about medication, will it turn me into a zombie and will I loose my job from being on medication. Will people think I'm crazy or weak for seeking help. I am already very hard on myself...just looking for advice from people who have been there before.

It was the hardest thing i had to ever do in my life. I am dealing with it the best that i can right now. We have this one couple who we knew for about 2 yrs. now and when they heard what happened, they did not call us to see how we were doing, and i just saw them last night for the first time and when they walked into my home, not even "im sorry, how do you feel" nothing, as if nothing happened to us. I feel very bitter towards them. I really do not care for them at this point. Am i right to carry these hard feelings towards them. I figured your friends will be there, but not them. No acknowledgement of what happened, no phone call when it happened.

Unconditional love, in the simplest terms, means loving another person without conditions, no matter what; but it can mean different things to different people... What does it mean to you?

And what about in a marriage? Is unconditional love in marriage realistic? Or is marriage but a condition?

I mean, being as marriage is a choice, and that choices usually bring about expectations, causing us to attach conditions to our love... what then, as I have asked, is unconditional love?

Thoughts?

so i got an envelope from my b/f at my mum's house, which is unusual since i live with him, my b/f was at work at the time. i thought this was a bit odd..

i automatically thought he was gonna leave me so i called him up giving him a mouthful of crap saying that i was dumb for trusting him etc, he got really p1ssed at me and slammed the phone down. i opened the envelope and it was a letter explaining how much i meant to him and that he loved me forever! with a poem inside too! i have apologised since and he laughed about it, but i still feel bad, how can i make it up to him?

Perhaps this question is more hypothetical than real word.

I'm curious to know if you think you could vote for a candidate who was the best qualified and best suited for the office, even if the person had a different position on most issues. Or would you be more inclined to stick with someone who had a similar position even if they were less qualified.

I am currently looking for a motorcycle. For street use. Something comfortable. I love to ride, but until this point I've never been able to afford one. I like the look of the Harley's but they seem a little pricey... any suggestions? What do you like?
