I have a friend that i met through my ex and today she messages me on yahoo just to see how i'm doing. She procedes to ask if its ok if she vents to me. I'm a good listener and shes listened to me in the past so i said yeah. She goes on to tell me that her husband of 12 years is divorcing her. Now, I haven't been close with this woman for a while now. We were never the best of friends but we were still somewhat close. Why do you think she's chosen me as the shoulder? Shes called a few times today and emailed after our initial conversation? I do want to be there for her, so leaving all the time we've not been close out of it, what can I do for her? She's made her life around her husband and doesn't have many friends outside their "couples" group. I've never been in her position and have no idea what i can do for her. She has a son with him and I want to be there for him too. what can i do?

I'm sure the answer is a "duh" but I don't want to make her feel any worse than she does now.

Baptism which was for the remission of sins for all who were able to repent, was changed and made a solemn mockery. Baptism was for those who were capable of sinning. It was performed by immersion of the entire body in water. It was changed by the Catholic Church to sprinkling or pouring water on the head, which is definitely not a burial. (Romans 6:1-6; Colossians 2:12)

2. What are the things you like (liked) the most about working as a Vet Tech?
3. What are the things you dislike (disliked) most about being a Vet tech?
4. Do you have any advice you wish someone gave you before starting this job?

They will not let me cut and paste so I'm posting it here and would like your comments.
You people are evil! I'm not saying what this dad did was wrong, but some of these other comments really scare me. It makes me wonder what else you have or will do to your children. It's like you would not even look at their over all behavior and like you get some kind of enjoyment watching your kids suffer under your wrath. If they did this in the middle of the year you would have to give them different punishments so why not do the same during the x-mas season? I could understand not letting them enjoy their gifts for a set amount of time, but to just cancel Christmas for them and then make them watch everyone else open their gifts actually is very upsetting to me. And the comments about selling everything in the room on top of it, wow!Again what else would you do leave them out in the cold naked

se which element would the defense have difficulty proving in the following hypothetical? Why?

The defendant is leaving a gay bar after having a few drinks. As he is leaving, three men who are outside of the bar threaten to hurt him because of his sexuality. The three men begin to walk towards the defendant and one of them is holding a baseball bat. The defendant is close to the entrance of the bar. The defendant becomes scared and then gets in his car and drives a mile where he stopped by the police and arrested for DUI.

Three independent witnesses see the event and testify that they saw one man holding a bat and he was with two other men. The defendant testifies that he was in fear for his life and he would not have driven but for being chased by the men. The defendant did not have a cell phone on him. His blood alcohol content was .09 at the time of driving which is above the legal limit but he passes his field sobriety tests and is coherent when speaking to the officer. He is charged with driving with .08 or greater of alcohol in his blood system.
