I was asked by a friend to make Boo Boo bunnies for her baby shower which is no problem but all of the directions i have seen from them include rubber-bands which a don't want to use because it poses a choking hazard for small children i am a daycare teacher and hate using anything a child could choke on any help at all would be great thank you

You could use the 1/8" wide ribbon and wrap and tie instead of using the rubber bands. As Pat C said, these are not toys. You put ice in the space to hold on a boo-boo, which keeps you from freezing your fingers. It shouldn't be used on a child who can't tell you how cold it feels, because you could freeze their skin.

These are not toys that are used on a daily basis. They are only used to ice, or heat, and injury to a child. They are removed after the child finds relief. You could always stitch the bunnies into their shape.
