Dump about 1/2 of the water in the bag down the drain (never in your tank!) and replace it with about 1/4 of the amount left in the bag with water from your tank, and wait a few minutes. Keep doing this until about 3/4 of the water in the bag is water from your tank.

You can also put the fish and water into a container that will hold a good deal more water and run a piece of air tubing from the tank and into the container. If you put a bread bag tie or rubber band around the tubing so the water only drips out, let this run until about 3/4 the water in the container is water from your tank.

Then net the fish and put it into the tank.

The PH diffrence in the Bag and the tank cant be too wide or else the fish in one would not be able to live. But its always better to take precautions when transfering new fish, You can start by adding a little water from the tank to the bag to make sure that the PH level is brought to the same level.
More than the PH make sure the temp of both the bag and the tank are the same. PH is a slow killer but drastic change in water temprature will most certanly kill. so please be careful.

Slowly add small amounts of tank water to the bag every 15 minutes or so. The entire process can take from an hour to a whole day, depending on how wide the pH difference is between tank and bag. Read here for details:

Don't adjust pH! You could shock the fish to death. While the fish is still in the bag, slowly pour small amounts of tankwater into the bag. Repeat every 10 minutes for 30 minutes. This is part of the acclimation process and will help reduce any shock caused by the pH of the tank water.
