What would you let a 4 year old watch on TV. Some people say Disney Channel, but I think that the shows are for older kids. I need some advice on this topic. Also my daughter will be 5 the end of January.

In a sentence like this, does the period mark come before or after parenthesis?

What about the same sort of thing, but with quotations? Like:

Im 17 almost 18 so naturally i'd like some privacy when it comes to my room. But the thing is I dont have any. My mom goes through my room all when I leave the house. Recently today my sister told me she spent a good hour in my room going through it, and I was looking to see if she took anything and some PRIVATE letters I had in my nightstand from my boyfriend went missing, which i found in her room later. She knows im sexually active, and knows that im on the pill and we have dicussed issues such as this openly before so I dont think shes searching my room for that reason. We normally have a very open line of communication. Usually if shes concerned about something she just asks me and Ive tried the whole calmly talking to her. However being 17 I do have letters and things I'd like to keep private. But she searches my room all the time and it really bothers me. I understand i live in her house but how can I talk to her to get her to stop constantly searching my room for no reason?

I guess this is not a question, just asking for some support.... I posted a question about this a couple of months ago.... My almost 16 yr old female dog just died. She was ill, since last year, but she had managed to be fine. Now this morning she just didn't wake up anymore, after having had a bad episode of seizures last mon-tue and then having lost her ability to walk properly. She was still eating, evacuating, etc.... but we knew this was coming. I know I should be grateful for her not suffering and just dying peacefully -- I know this isn't the case in most cases. But of course I feel sad and my mom is devastated. She was her everything, her only companion. She didn't want me to go to her place as she doesn't want me to see our dog like that -- she wants me to remember her as she used to be when she was healthy. She's burying her in our garden.

I'm sorry for the vent, I know many of you have gone through this.. I just can't seem to accept it now or stop crying :(
