black v neck sweater ok with a white shirt and black striped silk tie?dark grey v neck with what color shirt?

one is for new years probably with grey slacks, the other is just going out with a dark blue jeans and black shoes....let me know what you think

sounds ok - for going out - but for new year, you may want to dress it up a bit - try a vest (waistcoat) instead of the sweater and a black shirt would look good with the dark grey v neck.
For New Year the white shirt with the balck striped silk tie sounds good.
