I have been invited to quite a few holiday parties this year. They include large, catered fancy affairs, festive house parties, ladies' teas at country club venues, and intimate dinner parties (about 10 guests). I generally bring small hostess gifts or flowers to the smaller personal events, and a bottle of wine to the dinners, but I wonder whether it's appropriate to bring a bottle of wine to the larger, more formal catered parties? Is it ok to arrive empty-handed at the holidays? The hosts certainly aren't throwing the parties with an expectation of gifts or contributions (we're on the "mature" side of 40) but I don't want to appear boorish. Thoughts?

I've got a simple web form that is linked to my company's contact management system. When someone fills out the form the note that they fill in is automatically put into our system. Our system allows for this form to exist in order to receive the data input.

I would like to figure a way that someone can email a dedicated email address (in a properly formatted email I suppose) and the it will (in some way) "fill in" that form (or really just using that form handler to process the email) so as to communicate with our system.

This question cant be answered in completion on here, I doubt its too easy - but I'm hoping to find some starting points I'm having problems even googling it because all I find are form-to-email type results.

The form uses an action method of POST.

My husband has never been the emotional type. However, lately, I have been going through a rough period in my life and when I talk to him about it I get absolutely no comfort. He just gets angry at me at says I am overemotional. What can I do to get him to try and sympathize with me and just lend me a shoulder to cry on?

An elderly blonde lived on a small farm in Canada,

just yards away from the North Dakota border.

Their land had been the subject of a minor dispute

between the United States and Canada for years.

The now widowed blonde, lived on the farm with

her son and three grandchildren.

One day, her son came into her room holding a

letter. "I just got some news, Mom," he said. "The

government has come to an agreement with the

people in Washington. They've decided that our

land is really part of the United States. We have

the right to approve or disapprove of the agreement.

What do you think?"

"What do I think?" his blonde mother said. "Sign it!

Call them right now and tell them we accept!

I don't think I could stand another one of those

Canadian winters!"

I am a 27 year old male. I have been working full time for a nonprofit making $33k a year. I am also half way to getting my bachelors. During the past couple of years I have been going part time to school which has worked out ok. I am getting to the point now where it is becoming more and more difficult to get classes that work with my schedule. So I am considering quitting my job at the end of this year so I can give my all to finishing school. Financially, I have $30k in savings, my rent and billls are very low. . I also make a few hundred bucks a month selling on ebay on the side which pays my bills and allows me to not use any of my savings, I don't pay rent cause I do snow removal and grass cutting for my building. My job would not allow me to go to part time. I am a very smart person but in the past have made some bad choices when it comes to school work etc. I am going for a degree in finance & accounting. What should I do?
