Absolutely..and be nice about it in front of the kids. Don't let any ill feelings you have overshadow any good relationship they might have with their dad. If he doesn't recipocate, then don't whine about it in front of the kids. They will soon be old enough to go out and do the shopping on their own, but for now help them shop.

Yes because it's not from you its from the children so there should not be a problem. Take the kids with you and let them pick out something for their father. Dont pick out something yourself or make them pick something that you know he will like. It should be from the kids. So they will learn about giving.

Yes. Take the children shopping and guide them. BUT, if he is remarried or is in a serious relationship with someone, then she should be the one to take the children shopping, and you would want to confer with her (and defer to her).

You should yes....becasue they need to learn about giving and that is their first experience of gift giving....when they get a pressie for Mum or Dad....be aware though that he may not think of it....buying one for you...guys often need telling...but as you are his ex...say nothing and let him learn from your actions.
