I know what you mean!!! People get so worked up about it, it never even turns out to be that great. After Christmas, everyone goes back to hating each other. Haha.

Well I do not like the phrase "xmas". When you say xmas it takes Christ out of Christmas and he is the whole reason for the season! See there is one special day set aside each year for the birth of Jesus, whom without him, we would not have free salvation and be able to go to Heaven as easy as we can now. However I think we need to keep it simple and remember why we set aside that one special day of the year....Jesus' B-Day. Most people go overboard with buying gifts and things, but the best gift you could ever give or get is the love of God and share that with others, not something in a box to unwrap. This life is only temporary and it will soon fade away and what we have done with our lives here on earth (accept or reject God) will determine where we will spend eternity...Heaven or Hell. As far as the long hum drum nights, I agree, it can get quite depressing at times, but it will soon pass. Maybe try playing some board games or just take this time to relax and read a good book and learn how to do something new you've always thought about but never have, like cook or something. Let this time of the year be for you and read your Bible and get to know God and have a personal relationship with him, you will be amazed at how he can make your life soooo awesome, if only you ask him in your heart and listen to what he has to say. I hope and pray this helped in some way. Have a blessed day and if you ever need to talk just eme: fluffpuff32@yahoo.com.....FLUFF

I can't stand it. The only thing I enjoy is the time off. Everything else is just a waste of time and money. It's a hypocritical holiday as well. People say to be joyful and kind to others, but what about the other eleven months of the year?

Bah! Damn Christmas. But then January and February are depressing months afterwards.

I usually don't like Christmas because of all the problems it causes for my personal life, and the past holidays I've had.

But I do love Christmas when it comes to my family because it is the few times we all get out of our busy lives and appreciate each other.

Christmas is my favorite holiday, i love listening to the music and decorating. The reason behind Christmas. Christmas isn't like it was when i was little, its so commercialized, but i still love it. Its very stressful yes but its still a beautiful and wonderful holiday. It only comes once a year.

I love Christmas. It the time when all of my family cna get together especially since none of us live in the same state. I do hate that it gets dark so early but it still does that in Jnauary so I dont see what the difference is.

It is wonderful if kept in the proper perspective, that it is to commemerate the Lord's birth. Also, don't become a slave to the commercialization of it: by that I mean, spend within your means and don't have high expectations. If you do this, it could change your outlook.

Christmas is the most point of the year. I can't wait for the new year. Christmas is just commercial, its all about getting the must have present... How dull.

I love Christmas! It's a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It's all about giving, just as he gave to us...the gift of life. I hope it's gets better for you!
