I work in a hospital and Christmas is another routine day for us. What do you plan to do on Christmas and do you have the day off?

I was at a party last night and a friend was saying they want to get a puppy. I suggested they get a crate because the pup will be left while they are at work - they can get home at lunch, and some one else we work with started yelling that I shouldn't have a puppy if I need a crate! It was BARBARIC!
No, docking a puppy's tail without anesthetic is barbaric, but using a crate for three or four hours a day is not.
My puppy is fast asleep in her crate now - the door is wide open and she has another bed, which she uses in the day sometimes but when she really wants to sleep like a baby, she always goes in there through choice!
She was comfortable in there from the first night, she didn't whine and wake us up, only to go out for a wee, then slept through again.
What is with the hysteria? Why has this woman flipped out at me? Why is it any different to shutting the back door of your house and not letting them roam outside?

this question is for anyone who wants to answer. i have had 3 surgerys on my ovaries due to benign cysts. just yesterday i had another episode of the cyst bursting. why the heck is this happening all the time? i could see maybe once in a lifetime but this is getting ridiculous and costly. any remedies or lifestyle or eating habits that i need to change? thanks for your time

Society gives so much credit to people with Ph.D titles. We put these smart people on top of mount Everest and for what? Anyone who loves school and has money, can work hard to earn a Ph.D. Colleges roll out the red carpet for professors because they are smart and in fact, they are intelligent. However, there are MILLIONS of reasons why certain people never reach a title beyond the B.A. or B.S. degree level. Why do we feel a need to worship people, for example, like Dr. Phil? Is he God? Can people with Ph.D titles walk on water or fly without an airplane?

Well, Muslims agree (I suppose) that it's okay for a Muslim man to marry a non-Muslim woman. So is it haram for his wife to bring a chirstmas tree to their house? Is it haram for his wife to buy gifts for their children and her family? Is it haram for him to join his wife and her family as they celebrate?
