The Scriptures prophesy in 2 Peter 3 that in the last days "scoffers" (skeptics and mockers) shall arise encouraging people to turn away from God and walk after their own lusts. Within the last few years there have arisen many atheists, most notably Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris and Daniel Dennett, who are inadvertently fulfilling precisely what this prophecy says. Do you think that this may be a sign that we are indeed in the end times and the activities of these men are ironically a fulfillment of God's prophecy?

I was flicking around the channels and came to the God Channel. Timing was perfect as they were discussing films and half way though they came to the Golden Compass.

The general view was that it shouldn't be seen as the author was a devout atheist.

Do you feel that a film that may not go along with your beliefs should be avoided or should you be able to view other opinions if your belief is strong enough.

In the song he sings ' I'm tired of pretending I don't Love you anymore.. ' Is he saying that he's been pretending that he doesn't love her anymore but he really does love her or is he saying that he's been pretending to love her when he really doesn't?

Ive heard that most people if they have black in them there all black but that wouldnt be fair to the other parent. I have a friend and she says everyone call her black which she doesnt mind but when she says she also latin the balck people get offended as if she is ashame. Her black cousin also told her that shes black and need to stop trying to be latin because shes not. She said her black genes are stronger.What are you thought on this?

I am 27 wks 1 day and measuring 25 cm. When I was at the dr. 4 weeks ago I measured 22 cm. I am worried that he is not growing at the right pace since I only gained 3 cm, not the 4 I was supposed to, and I am 2 weeks behind. This is my second pregnancy and my first was always bigger by at least 1 week.

To me it seems that the organ of sight in its incipient form must have been inseparable from the neural network of the organism in which it developed.

The first organism to develop light-sensitive cells would have no use for them whatsoever if it didn't also have a region of its brain that was conditioned to interpret the data received. That implies that at least two very rare and complementary mutations must have randomly coincided in the same organism for its new apparatus to be of any benefit to its survival.

This seems very unlikely to me, so would you say sight in a very primitive form was somehow originally inseparable from that which processed the data, and from that point gradually evolved into eyeballs and the visual cortex etc?

I just found out that my son had a few shots of Rum with some friends of his. The boys are 16 and 17 years old. They are smoking something called black and mild and drinking rum that was stole from one of the kids dads. My son is begging me not to say anything. I put my son on restriction to the house for a month. These other boys know I know. As a parent I feel its only right to let the parents know what is going on but My son will be at blame by his friends. Should I just worry about my own kid and not say anything. I have known these kids for 9 years.

She is a ragamuffin and will soon be 12 yrs old. We adopted her when she was about 10. At first she did not demonstrate a problem with the litter box.

The problem is that she does not poop in the box.

She is now confined to the back porch and the behavior continues. The vet thinks it is behavioral. We have tried using two seperate boxes and changed litter brand. The box is far away from her food and water.

Have you ever seen that silly informercial on at 3am for Extends? They never mention what the %$#@ their product enhances. They always call it 'that certain part of a man's body'.
Their pills could make my pinky toe enlarge to the size of a basketball for all I know. How can you sell a product when they never tell you what it does? It is so frustrating. I have watched the entire informercial around 10x just to try to get a clue. Can anyone help out there?
