I have a 1980 chevy c10 pick up.
It smoked really bad for 10 minutes when I got it but ran great. all of a sudden I couldent go up to 65 m.p.h.. I checked the compression on all cylinders and all were good exept the one with 0 compression(dry test). The cylinder with no compression had oil on the spark plug. I cant hear any unusual noise, it smokes again, so is it the rings, head gasket or valves.

My friend is terminally ill with cancer but she really doesn't know much about the disease. I'd like to put some things in that basket like some books that would help her to understand what her body is going through, about natural treatments, or an account of someone going through the same thing. Maybe a robe and some slippers for her stays at the hospital. Something else to make her laugh. I want to make it full of things that are informative, motivating, hope filled, thoughtful, and enjoyable.

I was thinking of buying that Crazy, Sexy Cancer book to start. Anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks very very much for the help!

Hello, I am a college student, and it is time to take finals... I am under a HHUUUUGE amount of stress b/c of the pressure of my parents and needing to do good on these tests. For a little background information, I am a "worrier" big time, it's hereditary. Anyways, my sleeping patterns are MESSED up! One night i will stay up till 6 in the morning, and sleep from 7am to 4pm. That has happened to me about twice now, but last night I didn't sleep at all, and tonight I've slept for 6 hours (i went to bed at 5pm and woke up at 12 and couldnt go back to bed). My parents keep telling me its b/c of stress, and i'm pretty sure thats the reason also, but lemme know what you think!

I'd have to say my aunt's baking. You can hardly eat any of the stuff that she calls desserts.

Hi I am thinking about contracting as a Corpsman, I did my physical on Wednesday and am going to pick a job next week. If I decide to go Corpsman what are the chances of going FMF in my first 4 years. I almost sure I'm going to have to pay my dues in a hospital before I can go to FMSS and then FMF. So if I do get a assigned to a hospital as my first duty station can I request to go FMSS while assigned to a hospital. Or is it possible to go FMSS and then FMF right out of A school. If so cool, but I really want to know is can I get reassigned during my first tour. Thank you

I have always thought so, but just lately, I’ve begun to question this. The human race has amassed quite a lot of knowledge and has an achieved an extensive understanding of the principles of our universe but how many of us actually know this stuff? How many of us actually use this knowledge in their day to day lives? It’s not possible to get an accurate figure on this but I personally doubt it would be much more than 10% of the world’s population. So that means the vast majority of us are more or less completely ignorant of an incredible amount of knowledge and instead watch TV, download porn, go shopping, socialize and believe in the same weird stuff that people have been believing in for the last 2000 freakin’ years! I mean, the only way out of this age of ignorance is if people in the future actually develop a need to learn and understand all this knowledge, but what are the chances of that happening?
