If this is true, then let the PC brigade call it father snow while everyone else can keep calling it Christmas.
I am not a believer in any religion yet I warm to the idea of generosity and a spirit of goodwill that this festival encourages.
This is definitely PC gone wrong. You know the ironic bit, the people who are calling for change are probably typically over-sensitive Christians. I'm sure the people from other faiths couldn't give a toss. Laughable.

where do the "PC brigade" hold their meetings? can i join? what is the current membership roster? who is the leader?
I have a better Idea, let's call Santa.... Santa, leave the celebration alone.
To me, and a lot of people, christmas isn't about religion, it's about having fun, giving presents, sharing time with people you are related to. It's also about big corporations making **** loads of money out of us by overpricing everything, and then cutting the prices by half the following day. Christmas is awesome.
It's just a national tradition to celebrate christmas.

It all a load of bollocks - to put it bluntly!
This PC brigade are completely missing the point that xmas is a christian celebration - we dont ask anyone else to alter their religious festivals - we respect them!
I also heard that several schools have banned nativity plays for the same reason - when will this stupidity end???

I haven't seen this but if it is true then it won't matter a jot. He will always be known as Father Christmas regardless of the PC brigade.

Well, we changed from Father Xmas to Santa Claus because of American Merchandising, so why not?

\do you know how many of the 'pc gone mad' stories are simply not true?
They start off as people saying "I bet they'll ban the name Santa soon" and it gets picked up, talked abut and then printed in some local rag before making headlines.
I read an article of dozens of so called PC stories about banning xmas trees, changint eh name of xmas etc etc and hwo they all turned out to be simply untrue.

Ha Ha. This is a petty & silly issue. Saint Nick, Kris Kringle...
Why do you not argue on their behalf? Seeing as Santa Claus was the invention of & is a registered trade mark of 'coca-cola ltd.', I think you have your priorities slightly ajar.

There is no way I will give way to the PC Brigade.
They can take their "Father Snow" suggestion and put it where the sun doesn't shine. Flamin idiots.

Isn't it about time that when such daft suggestions are made that those that venture them are soundly put in their place, i'm sick of the nonsense that's spouted in the name of "PC" ness.
